AUSfund - Case Study
AUSfund is Australia’s leading Eligible Rollover Fund, having won the SuperRatings’ ERF of the year for 3 consecutive years between 2007-09. It claims around 1.75 million members and $575 million in funds under management. AUSfund is specially designed to look after small, inactive and lost accounts and is dedicated to reuniting Australians with their lost super.
Challenge
There is a strong emphasis on driving members and the public to the AUSfund’s search page to meet the fundamental objective of reuniting all members with their lost or unclaimed super. An online redesign was necessary to increase click-through rates and establish a visually appealing website with easy user-navigation.
Click Creative worked together with AUSfund, assessing the site across the key areas of functionality, readability, style, and web presence.
Solution
Our solution was to create a colourful and user-friendly website that was easy to navigate for members and the general public. Bright blue, green and yellow colours were used to transform the site and break away from traditional superannuation web site styles. This produced a visually appealing result that assisted in constructing a unique and vibrant persona for an Eligible Rollover Fund. The Click Creative designers were able to highlight the desired fun and friendly nature of AUSfund, whilst ensuring a secure, trustworthy image to encourage users to submit personal details.
Flash capabilities were introduced to transform the site, providing a graphic counter to reflect the growing number of members and dollar value of claimed superannuation.
An overall minimalist appeal was implemented to draw more users to the site. This was achieved by enhancing blank space and reducing the amount of text throughout the site.
Click Creative also designed the game ‘Supermutt’ to attract a younger audience to AUSfund’s website, in collaboration with Click Online Marketing.
Success
Subsequent to launching the new website, collated results from AUSfund have proven positive increases across all areas targeted. During the first six months after the initiation, the site traffic rose 97%, with the average number of unique visitors each month increasing to 91%.
Click Creative helped to achieve these results whilst remaining within AUSfund’s allocated budget, producing a site that is easily maintained without additional financial resources.
