Chisholm & Gamon is a market leader in Bayside Real Estate with offices in Elwood and Port Melbourne. The company has built a reputation for excellence in residential and commercial sales, property management, acquisitions, consultancy and project management/development.
Chisholm & Gamon have one of Melbourne’s highest success rates, with a strong focus on customer service at the centre of its core values. It has been a pleasure to work with Chisholm & Gamon in developing a new website that focusses on customer use and visual appeal in the design.
Challenge
With the internet becoming consumer’s primary property search tool, Chisolm & Gamon required a new website that provided an advanced level of customer service through their website. The website would need to deliver a rapid and easy-to-navigate experience that better met the changing needs of their customers.
The brief outlined a need for a fresh look, increased functionality, Bay lifestyle focus, and a fully-internalised Content Management System to allow Chisholm & Gamon to have complete control over their website maintenance.
Importantly, Chisholm & Gamon required a site that could provide a self-manageable back-end system to self-manage propoerty listings and a clean and simplified front end appearance for the user.
Solution
Click Creative came up with a bold and vivid design that is visually uncluttered and appeals to the end-user. The new website is highly interactive, and user-friendly. The homepage adheres to a minimalist theme and does not allow for an overload of information that typically deters users from reading on. The main functions are highly visible and are structured in an easy-to-use manner saving the user from filtering through pages to locate their desired information or website functions.
A ‘quick search’ function was featured on the homepage to provide an inviting property search mechanism for the user to locate information on properties. It thus encourages users to immediately engage with the website rather than redirecting them to a buyers page first that demands category preferences before results are displayed.
Our designers created a sharp and bold design with bright, appealing visuals throughout the website. Click utilised the strong logo colours of orange and blue, integrating them as a key feature of the design, as well as highlighting the bayside image of the water horizon; ultimately creating a modern and stylish look that appealed to users.
Our advanced Content Management System provided a sophisticated back-end management allowing Chisholm & Gamon to update all information, images and other media internally. This allows for a faster response rate and keeping the site as current as possible and providing a manageable process that does not require external technical support.
Success
The relaunch of Chisholm & Gamon’s website has achieved considerable success in improving customer service; allowing users to search for properties, research surrounding areas or sign up for new property alerts at their own convenience. It has enabled Chisholm & Gamon to maintain an up-to-date website, with the latest property information available to its users without the need for external assistance.
The new website also received a finalist place in the REIV/ Age Awards for Excellence 2009 under website marketing submission.
